I lost my Dad at a pretty early age. Those things that you wish you had done with your parent are just things left undone. There are a bunch of stuff that boys are supposed to learn from their Dads. These are generational bonding experiences. Unfortunately, my father's father too died very young in my father's life as well. One of these many items that I missed out on is properly learning how to tie-a-tie from him. Now that my memory is fading, I vaguely remember him helping me with a tie as I was heading out for a MUN conference but he basically put the tie on himself then tightened it up on my neck. No knowledge transfer there. This video reminds me that I ended up learning tying a tie mostly from friends and the Internet (thanks Yahoo!). My own son is probably going to get bombarded by me with a bunch of useless knowledge when he's really young but I've learned that you just never know when God wants you for another purpose.
